Wings of Hope
Green is the colour of unfolding beauty
Of a curled leaf jeweled with dewy beads
Of a young mango drinking in the golden sun
Of graceful palms crowning a sunset scene
Of African savannahs spreading in lush serenity
Green is the colour of hope
Of a garden lizard finding fruit to feast on
Of a chameleon painting its home with its hues
Of bright parrots streaking over the Amazon
Of the crystal sea shimmering like watery jade
Of Mother Nature crying tears of joy
